1. Acceptance

By using AltPlusCtrl (https://altplusctrl.com), including the shortcut reference pages, the Shortcut Trainer, the free and paid cheat sheet generators, the blog, and the newsletter, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. What the site is

AltPlusCtrl is an independently operated reference and practice platform for keyboard shortcuts across desktop and web applications. Shortcut data is researched and compiled by us from vendor documentation and hands-on testing. While we make a genuine effort to keep it accurate, shortcuts can change between software versions, and keyboard layouts and OS versions can affect what actually works on your machine. Treat this site as a reference, not a guarantee — if a listed shortcut doesn't work for you, check the app's own documentation for your specific version, and let us know so we can correct it.

3. Accounts and eligibility

No account is required to use any part of AltPlusCtrl, including the paid Custom Cheat Sheet. You must be able to form a binding contract to make a purchase or donation (i.e. be of legal age in your jurisdiction, or have a guardian's permission).

4. The Custom Cheat Sheet (paid product)

The Custom Cheat Sheet is a $9.99 one-time purchase. You select the apps and a role label, pay via Stripe Checkout, and receive a generated PDF by email, typically within a few minutes of payment. This is an automated digital product — assembled from the same shortcut data published on the site's free pages, formatted into a single document based on your selections. It is not a personalized or hand-curated document beyond the selections you make.

Because it is a digital product delivered automatically and immediately, all sales are final once the PDF has been delivered. If delivery fails — you don't receive your PDF within a reasonable time and it isn't in your spam folder — contact contact@altplusctrl.com and we'll resend it or refund you, whichever you prefer.

5. Donations

Donations made through the Support Us page are voluntary, one-time payments made via Stripe Checkout with a $5 minimum. A donation is not a purchase of goods or services and does not entitle you to any deliverable. Donations are non-refundable except where required by law or at our discretion in cases of genuine error (e.g. accidental duplicate charge).

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to scrape or bulk-download the site's shortcut database for republication elsewhere, attempt to circumvent the paid product's checkout flow, or use the contact form or newsletter signup for spam or abuse. Reasonable personal use — including printing your own cheat sheets and sharing them informally — is fine.

7. Intellectual property

The site's design, original written content (guides, blog posts, FAQ text), and compiled shortcut database are owned by AltPlusCtrl. Shortcut key combinations themselves are factual information about third-party software and aren't owned by anyone, but our specific compilation, organization, categorization, and written descriptions of them are. Trademarks and product names referenced on the site (Excel, Photoshop, VS Code, etc.) belong to their respective owners; AltPlusCtrl is not affiliated with or endorsed by those companies.

8. No warranty

The site, its tools, and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Shortcut Trainer or cheat sheet generator will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that every shortcut listed is correct for every version of every application.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AltPlusCtrl and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or its tools, including reliance on a shortcut listed incorrectly. Our total liability for any claim relating to a paid purchase is capped at the amount you paid for that purchase.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the site evolves. Material changes will update the "last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
